You're A Part Of Me (Song)

So many seasons passed by,
Just without a purpose time would fly,
Life felt so aimless,
And I, well, sunk in it helpless,
To be true, I was lone,
From this world, all withdrawn.

Until one day,
I felt the need to pray,
Usually, I never believed,
That miracles could help in need,
Now that is the reality I see,
Thanks for being a part of me.

You sensed my difficulty,
You heard me in agony,
When I was on the verge of failure,
You became my saviour,
You taught me to defend,
At last, I found a friend.

Nobody paid heed,
When in pain and hunger I used to plead,
Some shelter and support was all I required,
Until my body felt weak and tired,
This world became an enemy,
But I'm glad that you became a part of me.

How do I return your favour I don't know,
On a dark street, you are like lights that glow,
Showing the path, highlighting obstacles,
Who said there are no miracles?
Foolish are those who lost faith,
After all, why is there no love, all hate?

They had no clue of what lies ahead,
They turned to you when tears they shed,
Once solved, they forgot to appreciate,
The Lord, the Almighty and the Great,
It's horrific how people pretend to be,
Nevertheless, you're still a part of me.
